20120525, 07:10 – For ATC’s tenth anniversary – Boobs, astral space, a spaceship, a big piece of plot and a little piece of cosmology.

You didn’t think I’d let ten years of on-and-off production slip by without doing something appropriate, did you? :) Around the time I committed to doing at least the first block of the chapter on a schedule I did some math and realized if I dropped two pages a week I’d be able to get this page out on the anniversary – this page and its companion are pretty damned important, so their deployment in proximity to the tenth anniversary seemed appropriate.

So space humans have (at least) 26 pairs of chromosomes. Thad has the regular terrestrial 23 we all know and love. I’m sure you can see why this little fact would turn Grij into a spluttering mess of stupid. He doesn’t have the big picture, so for him this is big news.
