20140105, 09:16 – AIR FIVE: THE WORDENING

Holy backstory, batman! More evidence that Raven – along with other members of the garrison – visited Kaysoo after the events of Dead City Radio. They may eventually visit during the events of Dead City Radio if the slowly developing plans for a DCR.6 ever come to fruition… but in the meantime she’s totally there after, and apparently they don’t take kindly to terrans.

Earthlings talk funny, ask a lot of questions, and happen to be the genetic trunk the human diaspora evolved from. Not exactly the kind of visitors you want to show off to the neighbors if you happen to be a member of a secret society.

We’ll eventually see Kaysoo – though if it intends to exist within the next couple of years it’s going to need a successful ad campaign and some kind of crowdfunding or a deal with a publisher to bring it into existence, as it isn’t scheduled to appear at any nearby point forward in the story. And forward is where things are going for awhile!

Also, yay for FINALLY using the kitchenette as more than a backdrop, even if it’s just for this page. Last seen in 2008, it’s the kind of background detailing I’d leave out of a modern environment – though the new environments that’ll be developed for this chapter and the next have nothing to do with kitchens. More importantly, new environments won’t be designed for book-length usage.
