20131222, 17:22 – At long last, an example of how Val‘s brain works. Or worked, before Thad clogged it up in The Dualist.

Shades of Terminator 2 and the less incestuous bits of alt.sex – you can see why Raven is concerned.

The last time I did a one-off environment it took quite a bit more time to set up. In this case the Bedlam set was grown out of existing Bedlam environments, which haven’t seen action in quite awhile.

Fun fact: this is the page that the chapter grew out of. Pretty much all of Air was written after this page, which made it from inspiration to execution with almost no change to the script.

This is the first time Murnau has been drawn since November of 2004. Originally Raven was going to be standing there but I figured maybe some subtle foreshadowing was in order. We’ll see how well that works in 2014!
