Priorities -2-

A bit of trimming to four and five, preserved and enhanced otherwise. A bit trickier than it looks, actually – I pulled up the original file for panel one and massively over-rendered it to get the extra headroom, then some photoshop to glue on the Cycom bits, followed by some math to get everything to scale correctly. All for a few extra pixels… ultimately, a place to put the dialogue without covering the art!

Also – panel four was originally two panels. Well… it wasn’t originally originally. It started off as one, then became two for dialogue spacing and (I imagine) other reasons… and now – unless those reasons crop up again – it’s one again. I also fixed a weird little reflection bug I’d never noticed before (James’ reflection in either panel four was visible in the bottom left panel), and… uh… that’s pretty much it. I think.

Oh, and I shuffled the QAR status thingies around a bit.

20090906 (24) – Lettered. The food tray thing? One way to save space on the boat. About an hour after being exposed to air, they start to break down into something that can be quickly processed into either rocket fuel, or, with a few extra ingredients, booze. This provides a few benefits for the ship and the crew. First, degradable trays adds to the fuel supply and eliminates the need to carry dish soap (which in turn eases stress on the water filtration system). Second, having a readily available booze base on board means other chemicals and materials that would traditionally be tapped to create moonshine aren’t tapped until the food trays run out. Which, generally speaking, doesn’t happen.
