One of my favorite pages out of the entire book. I had written a good-sized chunk of “overheard” dialogue for this page – an exchange between Grij and someone and another between Greymalkin and Rayne. It’s unnecessary and would be some serious work to fit it in and keep it looking good, so I dropped it.

If you’re curious, the exchange amounts to a mutual jawdrop and delegation to prep the recorded data for transmission. I may stick something to that effect in at a later point… as it stands, the dialogue implied that the HRD had a hell of a lot more capability than it actually does – it’s a “mental detector” in the sense of a metal detector. A metal detector says “Look! Found something!” Size/mass, not denomination.
