Panels two through five are a very abbreviated form of launch status check, and if this were a cartoon each panel would cut in over the exterior shot in a quarter/corner of the screen, Mecha Anime style.
Production trivia: I rendered all of the pages in one go, drew all of the pages in one go, and then shaded them in roughly whatever-struck-my-fancy order instead of the usual linear fashion. As a result, panel five – Thad saying “Ready!” – was the last panel of the book to be shaded. There was nothing difficult about this page, mind you – it wound up going last for purely personal reasons.
