Holy cloud transition, Batman!

While incursion is an overall prettier image, and while expulsion is compositionally quite similar (damn, there’s a lot of planet shots on the covers!), the Aeon looks damned sexy. She’s on the back instead of the front for the same reason that expulsion-the-scene is technically “optional” – it’s a major part of the story, but ultimately (literally) backseat to local events.

Considering all the work I put into that model, and how long getting it finalized and mapped held up production of this half of the story, you can bet I’m going to get as much mileage out of it as I possibly can.
