20090823 (28) – Back on the pre-formatting after stumbling around on shirt fixing detail and Figuring Out Where The New Panels go detail. It took approximately 20 minutes to crop panel one, scale panels two, three, four and six, and scale and crop five (losing Alias in the process), and during that time the neighbor’s dog has not shut up. His girlfriend showed up around seven, slammed stomped and thudded some stuff up the stairs, whipping the dog into an agitated fury and doing nothing to calm it down. She left while I was out buying smokes and the dog’s been pissing and moaning ever since. At least the poor thing’s pissing and moaning in his kitchen – that cuts the annoyance level by a factor of 0.05%.
While Alias’s reaction in panel five is kind of important, it really doesn’t add anything to the composition. The scene isn’t going to miss him – just this once, anyway.
