“About time you showed up” has a double meaning – it took Thad a few minutes to get down to the cargo bay, and he’s finally showing some interest in what’s going on. Better late than never!

I posted the final page of the previous scene on the final day of August. At that point the entire scene was rendered and needed to be drawn and shaded – I managed to grind it out over a couple of very intense weeks, and am very glad to be posting the first page of the final scene of the final chapter of Transitional Voices on the final day of September.

This appeals to my sense of symmetry. The fact that today is also a Black Moon makes it Extra Specialâ„¢! If you’re into woo it’s a thing – possibly a double thing, as counting cover graphics this is ATC page #666. Neat!

The entire eleven page scene was posted to the ATC Patreon account on Monday, September 26. You can read the whole thing over there right now for the low low price of a dollar! Five dollar donors get to see it in HD, and those of you who’ve kicked in a fiver will be seeing new Patreon updates around the same time the page posts to the website. The HD “strip” version of the pages was apparently beyond Patreon’s file size tolerances, so I’ll be posting it twice – the big chunkified single HD JPEG of eleven story pages, and in individual installments from here to completion.

I’ll be spicing up the $5 Patreon run of the scene with a few full-size “closeups,” so if you’ve ever wondered what ATC panels look like at their actual size, now is the time to pledge!

Barring complications the plan is to post the next nine pages on M/W/F over the next three weeks, with the final page being scheduled for October 24th. Why I’m deploying this way instead of, say, weekly or even all at once will be detailed in future page metadata or possible a blog post.

Next week: Icarus?
