A little information, a little attitude, and a pretty direct reference to the climax of The Dualist. Inga shares a psychic link with her sister back on Earth but it’s not exactly “loud” and it’s usually not particularly vivid, as previously indicated. She might pick up on any language work done by Aleks but then again she might not. Blah blah sinkhole blah blah ambient energy index.* Something something transmission strength. POSSIBLY A RHETORICAL QUESTION.

Posted before noon for the first time in quite awhile. Your morning, my evening – screwing with the internal clock and switching to “third shift” has turned out to be a fairly effective Broke Freelancer’s treatment for depression. You’d be surprised what you can get done and what you can not give a shit about when you’re going to sleep at noon and waking up five or six hours later actually feeling rested. Skipping what has over the last 30 years generally been the shittiest part of the day by cunningly sleeping through it is a thing I wish I could do more often. I always forget just how effective it is, though I suppose a huge part of that is just enjoying the mildly euphoric zonk – after three solid weeks of thundering weapons grade grey-black cognitively-hostile hellfunk anything different is a huge improvement.

Heck I even shaded next weeks page in the same work session. Two for the price of one! They’re not gonna win any awards but they do get the job done. So there’ll totally be an update next week. Setting up for the IMPENDING… oh wait spoilers. THE IMPENDING THING. Yes. The thing.

* It turns out the AEI can be semi-SCIENTIFICALLY explained as a significant-to-specific-technologies-and-disciplines variance in the ground state so thanks to SCIENCE a bit of ATC's cosmology is a bit less of an asspull than I would have thought otherwise THANK YOU EASY READER.
