Alias

Addicaine N-6 Alias Aza’hel is far and above the most powerful telekinetic talent of the N series, and is to date the only “Chosen” to be successfully sequenced by the Addicaine Program. Deeply intuitive, highly observant, incredibly intelligent and improbably naive, Alias has been aware of his preferred status since puberty, despite no obvious preferential treatment and a program-wide order to never discuss his status. He is the only Addicaine whose sequencing records require executive clearance to view. As a result of the catastrophic loss of life and extensive ecological damage caused by the manifestation of his “talent,” Alias carries several deeply-implanted time-release medical devices that inhibit his telekinetic ability. Even with these governors, at the age of 19 he is the most powerful telekinetic talent in living memory – capable of long range projection, levitation, and the repulsion of explosions and thousands of tons of debris.

Emily Ashton

The youngest Templar in the Terran ranks, Emily’s first “real” assignment is a doozy – as a “deep cover” observer tasked to fulfill the Waking God Protocols, Emily finds herself living the complicated double life of a Secret Agent Art Student!

Greg Auriga

A Heirotus defector and the only survivor of the Hemera, Greg lives in constant fear of being “recovered” by Heirotus. Having played a critical role in John West’s decision to leave the Templar, Greg provides engineering and weapons support for his benefactor’s merry band of misfits in exchange for black market cybernetic maintenance and a really good place to hide.

Aza’hel

A higher being with immense telekinetic and gravimetric abilities – powers and talents which are slowly manifesting in his physical incarnation, the Addicaine Alias Aza’hel.

Seems to have a thing for Dyluck.

Jesse Baris

The older and more experienced of the two agents assigned observational duties in Pittsburgh, Jesse has specialized in Remote Viewing and intuitive information gathering – skills that are particularly useful in the target-rich swamp of teen angst that is Allegheny Center.

Tantek Cestric

A former United States Army Ranger, Tantek has been with Thule Garrison since the Waking God Protocols field trials of the mid 1990s. He works well with Raven Lockheart, typically functioning as muscle though he can step up and be diplomatic if Raven’s attitude isn’t winning the hearts and minds. As one of Greymalkin’s “troubleshooters,” Tantek exists outside of the defined Templar hierarchy, and has the authority to co-opt and utilize any regional Templar resources available in the service of whatever mission he’s assigned to.

He’s also good with a sword.

Dyluck

A being with a talent for astral projection, possessing some form of teleportation ability.

Dyluck incarnated as Thaddeus Gallahad and remained in a dormant state until Awoken in 1997. Thad’s cognitive dissonance forced her back into a dormant state until 2002. Thad – her “lower self” – bifurcated his awareness in an attempt to expell what he perceived to be a form of possession. The expelled half took hold in the mind of Annathena Val, at which point Dyluck, with no pesky Ego getting in the way, set out to reunify herself.

General Grij

The ranking officer aboard HX-47 Sabrosa, Grij is the supervisor and final authority for all paramilitary field operations and training in which the vessel is assigned. The former Director of Applied Psionics Research for Armed Services Division Five, Grij is one of the most qualified policy-makers in the Heirotus military eugenics program.

He’s also a wordy bastard who never met an adjective he didn’t like.

The General rates at a 3.56 on the adjusted HRD scale, putting his perceptive capacities and causality influence well above metahuman norms. Inherent abilities and years of training in Division Five enable Grij to function in sinkholes and low AEI areas- a discipline that few possess.

Brandon James

Brandon James founded Heirotus in order to put his doctorate-equivalents in Xenoarcheology and Anthropology to use without academic interference. After a crucial (and highly classified) discovery by Heirotus contractor Judas Lang, James branched the company into high technology and has personally overseen the day-to-day operations of the FTL, communications, and eugenics divisions for the past 40 years. Only a few people high up in the company know the actual purpose of these programs, and all are sworn to secrecy.

Ivan Kursk (Greymalkin)

A former Soviet military officer, Greymalkin disappeared in southeast Asia in the spring of 1968. He surfaced in late 1969 as an adviser and fixer for Michael West, succeeding West as head of Thule Garrison upon West’s death in 1985. Greymalkin was instrumental in establishing a Templar presence on Earth, a task made somewhat easier by his connections in the American and Russian intelligence communites.

Greymalkin is Defender of the Earth, protecting his charge from all comers with the assistance of a one-ship fleet and a world-wide ground force that’s barely company strength.

Templar Rank : VIII °, considered to have a IX ° Theater Rank – loosely, a Colonel with the responsibilities of a General.

Born 1940, making him 57 during the events of Dead City Radio, and 61 or 62 during The Dualist.

Judas Lang

A renowned psychometrist with years of experience working for the court system, Judas Lang was been contracted by Heirotus founder Brandon James to perform a “read” of the stellar artifact known as MBO-2. Some time after that, Lang resigned from Heirotus, founded Expert Technologies, and took control of the Templar.

Tall, arthritic, and weird before his encounter with MBO-2, Lang is as eccentric as he is wealthy. Obsessed with events recalled from the Aeon flight data recorder, he is considered a lunatic by just about everyone outside of Heirotus, ETL and Templar upper management.

Annathena Val

BMC Long Term Care patient 6656, Annathena Val (hence Val) is a Cognitive Empath, born with an incredibly rare neurological disorder that arises only under a “perfect storm” of genetic abnormalities – a condition afflicting roughly one out of every ten billion humans. In simple terms, Val’s brain is a “receiver” that tunes in to the strongest signal in relative range – though in this case the signal isn’t a radio tower, it’s the human mind – and the “range” seems to have more to do with the strength of the transmission than its proximity.

Annathena Val is just like you.

Xand

A pink-haired mechanical genius with a full complement of prosthetic limbs (one “bolt-on,” three high-quality synthetics) and no memory of her first twenty years, Xand is the Daedalus flight engineer. A non-terrestrial human with a talent for software, electronics and languages, Xand finds exploring Terran culture and human sexuality to be an entertaining change of pace from the endless drudgery of routine maintenance.

As her skill set has a broad overlap with Greg’s, one of the two typically stays in Australia to “mind the store” while the other is out providing flight support aboard the Daedalus.

Michael Yang

An Army special forces verteran, Yang served as the Chief of Heirotus Corporate Security from shortly before the time of the first MBO-1 Encounter until his near-death in January, 1968. Some time after that he wound up in some form of suspended animation aboard the Aeon.

How this occurred has not been shown – the reader is asked to accept the fact that a dead cyborg ninja and his pet ghost-dog-spaceship are playing Super Voyeur on the other side of the galaxy.
