20091117 (1) – I’ve been hacking at this since yesterday and I’m still not sure how I feel about it. Adding the “flare” helps to bring it in line with the first half of the Incursion splash, and the yellow bits key off of the rest of the scene while “foreshadowing” the aesthetics of the pages that follow. Added the filmstrip jags as Aeon-specific “flavor” – the only time I’ve used this particular texture in-page has been for expulsion -1-, so that syncs up nicely. Any qualms I may have about the aesthetics need to be considered through the lens of the following pages – all of which are years old.

I’m done with the 3d aspect of this scene. Next up – linework, followed by slow, methodical processing. Pages should follow later this week.

20091121 (4) – Looks more like “next week.” At this point, two pages remain – both of them trickier than the rest of the scene. Given how this is shaping up, it looks like I’ll get them processed, smooth things over and upload the remaining seven in one swell foop.
